Saying Goodbye to Mr F, Miss P and Miss A
For a few months now, we've known that three of our wonderful siblings are going to be moving to Spain. On Monday they finally met their adoptive parents!
The kids have been very excited. They were able to Skype their mummy and daddy, and find out a bit about what their new life will be like. They have been counting down the days and doing lots of "final" trips to places (soccer, church, mall).
It has been fun for us as Ruel staff to watch the new family interacting, loving and connecting with each other. We know God has brought them together.
This morning, amid much emotion and many tears, after close to two years with us, they left to start their new life as a family. We love you and will always remember you Mr F, Miss P and Miss A.
God bless you!

Departures, Arrivals and Other Bits and Pieces From July
July was a nice busy month at Ruel. We said goodbye to eight volunteers. |
Katie, Tori and Tonya from Nehemiah Teams in the US. They were with us from the start of June until the end of July |
This is Katri from Finland. She was with us for all of May, June and July |
Four members of the same amazing family: Melissa, Tyler, Erica and Derick from the US. |
Their departure means that for the first time in six months, Kuya David is the only international volunteer currently serving at Ruel. We also welcomed three more children to Ruel during July, bringing our total number of children to 33:
1 year-old Baby Boy J |
3 year-old Little Miss E |
5 year-old Little Miss J |
The Ruel staff went 'back to school,' with an afternoon seminar relating to "Attachment". It was very informative and useful. |
Our website has been transformed! Please visit http://www.ruelfoundation.com to have a look.
There's also been some more action on our YouTube channel, with the school kids busy singing and acting for your enjoyment. Six new videos were added yesterday, with seven more on the way. Please visit https://www.youtube.com/user/ruelfoundation2014

Typhoon "Ruel Kids" hits; localized in the school room.
The weather in Calapan has been quite mild and sometimes rainy over the past few weeks, so Kuya David has been making the questionable decision to open up the schoolroom for an hour before dinner on the days when the weather kept the kids inside.
The schoolroom seems to occupy a hallowed, sacred place in the minds of the little ones, and every time the door is opened during the day they try to sneak in.
The result of the "kid typhoon" is quite a mess (especially the 5 minutes the two-year-olds are in the room), but Kuya David thinks it's worth it if something this simple can bring the kids such joy and delight.
