Bits and Pieces from October: Fundraising, Visitors, Upstairs Play and Turtle Time

Hello Ruel Foundation friends and supporters! I (David) thought I'd share a little about what's been happening here in October. Ruel has been blessed this year to have a large number of new supporters, particularly from Australia. Many people have sent supplies and done some fundraising for us. One of those people is my friend Linda, who recently sold baked cookies and other yummy treats through her church, Melbourne Praise Centre. At last count they had raised about $600 for Ruel Foundation! Thank you so much Linda and M.P.C.!

Last week we had some visitors from the US and Canada, who are currently serving at nearby Mercy Link. One of the leaders is Jacqueline, who was here with the YWAM team back in April, so she brought the team along to have a look at what we do. These photos are our attempt to get a "group picture." We did the best we could.

During the week, someone found a turtle. Now, we see frogs, lizards, dogs, chickens and cows all the time, but this turtle generated a whole other level of excitement! They were so focused and intense, they refused to look up for a photo, so I mainly got the tops of heads.

Upstairs play time with the babies is always good fun. Please enjoy some cuteness.
